Julie, Eleanor and Emily Cross founded Crossover Festival in 2017. They had spent more than 20 years attending and playing at bluegrass and old-time festivals, and wanted to bring those styles together with country and Americana on one stage.

The name reflects both the blend of musical styles and the organisers’ surname. The festival brings together live bands, workshops, dancing and informal sessions, with on-site camping and space to share food, drink and music.
